According to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Chemical Society held in Xi'an in 1983, the first national "Computational Chemistry" conference was held in 1984, and a computational chemistry subject group was established at the same time. A preparatory group has been organized to prepare. At present, the application of computers in chemical work in my country is rapidly spreading. Personnel in various branches of chemistry are learning and applying computers to solve problems in their respective industries. The situation is excellent. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive investigation on the personnel and work content engaged in this field. In order to review the power distribution of this discipline across the country and provide reference for establishing discipline organizations, a national survey and registration of computational chemistry workers was held. The plan is as follows:
