Depending on the fact that every predominance area diagram must be a convex polygon, we have developed the method of maximum constriction proposed by P. B. Linkson et al. originally. The new method proposed in this paper consists of a fixed-point method to generate logp_j-logp_i. diagrams and mapping technique to generate logp_j,-1/T diagrams and log(p_i/p_j)-1/T diagrams. The logical structure of the fixed-point method is more efficient and simple than that of Linkson's Method. The mapping technique for construction of logp_i-1/T diagrams and log(p_i/p_j)-1/T diagrams can be used in a wider temperature range as compared with Luo Rutie method. Further on, we have combined it with another perfect program package in inorganic thermodynamic data base (ITDB) for calculating and plotting the predominance area phase diagrams, the application field of this package has been enlarged.
