Implications in the light of the Politics of Language in Contemporary Poetry

Abstract

The multilingual impacts of political language are analysed aptly. Here, language is considered a medium of identity, power and resistance. Based on the political significance of the language used in poetry, its effects in five key areas. They encompass political thought and activism, literary criticism, cultural identity and nationalism, marginal communities, and future poetry practices. This approach elucidates how poets critique conventional dominant thoughts and express revolutionary outlooks through language, which influences political awareness and movement. Secondly, considering language not as an impartial but as an ideologically influenced medium, the new drift of contemporary literary criticism and the structure of clarification are analysed. Thirdly, it focuses on how poetry becomes a national and cultural mirror later based on the multilingual and colonial contexts. Fourthly, it reflects how poets of marginal communities enhance their own experiences and history to keep their language. Fifthly, this study incorporates a profound outlook on how the politics of language will usher in new forms and trends in the practice of poetry in future. Thus, the language of politics plays a leading role in moulding voice and readers’ practice.
