Biological enlightenment among students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences and their relationship to sustainable development

Abstract

The research aims to identify the biological enlightenment among students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences and their relationship to sustainable development. To achieve the research objective, the descriptive approach was adopted, by reviewing the literature and previous studies related to the research, the research tools were built, the first research tool was the biological enlightenment scale, which included (49) paragraphs distributed over (5) fields, and the second tool was the sustainable development dimensions scale, which included (50) paragraphs, and presented to arbitrators and experts. The validity of the two research tools was verified and the two research tools were applied to a sample of 150 students in the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences. Statistical methods were used (T-test equation, Chi-square equation, Pearson correlation coefficient, Sperman-Brown coefficient, hypothetical mean equation) and the results showed.

1-The level of biological enlightenment and the level of sustainable development among third-stage students came at a higher level compared to the hypothetical mean.

2-There is no correlation between biological enlightenment and sustainable development.
