On Application of GIS in Urban Transportation Planning

Abstract

This article combines the traffic planning practice of Jiangmen City and believes that combining traditional traffic models with GIS is beneficial to the analysis and processing of traffic data and the comprehensive evaluation of traffic planning plans, and is of great help in solving practical problems of urban traffic. Although there are still many issues in this preliminary attempt that require further discussion, the application of GIS technology in urban transportation planning is still worthy of vigorous promotion and development.
