Abstract

This paper discusses three issues: calculation of thermodynamic properties of water and steam, calculation of Rankine cycle, and synthesis of steam power processes in chemical industry. Regarding the first question, a formula for calculating saturation temperature from saturation pressure is given. Based on the IFC formula, an algorithm that guarantees success in sub-regions 2, 3 and 4 is given. For the second question, an actual Rankine formula is given. An effective algorithm for the end point of cycle expansion; regarding the third question, the synthesis principles and calculation methods of steam power systems are given. For the above three problems, the program block diagram and key points of program design are given, and full verification is done on the computer. This article is published in two parts. The first part discusses the first and second questions.
